I wrote a series of articles prior to last years election. Each day, I tried to give some thought to what would happen in the even that Old Joe actually won. The debate will go on for a long time whether he did or not. But in light of the failure to secure the southern border, rampant inflation, and now the catastrophe in Afghanistan, I thought I would go back and review what I wrote.
America’s future is at stake this election year.
It’s a matter of personality for too many people. Joe Biden is the ideal candidate for those who long for a softer tone and more of the status quo. This country was slowly sinking into a quagmire before a revolutionary candidate named Donald Trump showed up. Obama boldly stated that the manufacturing jobs lost under his tour were never coming back. We would have to learn to live with a diminished country. The new world order would simply be the way things are. No magic wands could bring them back.
The President Trump shook up the game. He destroyed all of the pitiful treaties we had signed that subjected America to a second class (or worse) role in the future. He said no to the globalists on both sides of the aisle. He took on the big pharma special interests that had been raping the American public for years.
But what about Joe? What does he have to offer based on his “record”?
Well, here is a short list of things he actually did.
BIDEN ACCOMPLISHMENTS: TOP 10
1. Voted for Segregation
2. Voted to Ban Gays in Military
3. Voted to Tax Social Security
4. Voted for The Iraq War
5. Voted for Every Crime Bill that Increased Incarceration for Blacks
6. Voted for Every War and Invasion in 47 Years
7. Voted to Ban Gay Marriage in All 50 States
8. Voted to Gut Welfare, Penalizing Minorities
9. Voted for the Frank Dodd Act Restricting Bank Lending to Minorities.
10. In 1988, Biden was forced to drop out of the presidential race after he was found to have exaggerated his academic record, plagiarized a law school essay, and used quotes from other politicians in his speeches without attribution.
Not on the list but one of the most infamous things is that he leads the party that wants to continue the practice of abortion all the way up until the moment of birth. Not only that, but leaders in his party have actually suggested that is it okay to terminate a child under certain situations once they have been born.
“VA gov on abortion this morning: “If a mother is in labor…the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians & mother” pic.twitter.com/cc15pVLjIQ”
Point made, he did vote for a few bills. But, how many did he sponsor or co-sponsor? Too bad more isn’t being said by his campaign about these accomplishments.
Missed Votes
From Jan 1973 to Jan 2009, Biden missed 1,781 of 14,556 roll call votes, which is 12.2%. This is much worse than the median of 2.0% among the lifetime records of senators serving in Jan 2009.
We don’t track why legislators miss votes, but it’s often due to medical absences and major life events. Legislators running for president or vice president typically miss votes while on the campaign trail — that’s normal.
My vote has been cast in person. I won’t tell you who I voted for, but I wasn’t hiding with ______.
From my wife of 49 years, a six year Navy WAVE vet and my walking dictionary and thesaurus. “Someone needed to proof this better – “practice of abortion all the way up until the moment of conception.”, should read until the moment of delivery. At conception would be during the actual sex act. Just being a proofreader!!” Both ex Democrats, staunch Conservatives. Not a shot Mac, just a suggestion. Bob Gerle, Sr. RMCM(SS)/CWO, COB, blah, blah blah. Keep up the good work Shipmate.
Great catch… you can tell one of us has never actually been a father (that would be me). But the point remains the same…
