April 19, 1927, was the day my dad made his entrance into the world.
I’ve written a number of articles about his contributions to the world he lived in. Like all of us, he was not a perfect person, but he more than made up for that in the service he did in so many ways. He was a member of the Greatest Generation and served in the Pacific as a member of the US Navy. Upon his return, he lived life to the fullest. But a large part of that life was service. From volunteer fireman to leading various veteran’s groups, there was never a time that he did not have community in mind.
A short while ago, a good friend contacted me to let me know he was submitting an article to his organization for publication.
My dad was the subject. this is the article he published:

A man I wish I could have met; and one I know my father would have gotten along with grandly!
